> Dell Stage Software Suite
Software Visual Design / Interaction Design
Dell Stage is a suite of programs designed to manage customers' digital content between Dell products (mobile and PC) and includes PhotoStage, VideoStage, MusicStage. As part of the UX team, I helped to develop the visual language to ensure an effortless user experience for Dell's global consumer market. And I packed photos of my friends & family into marketing images, just for the thrill of seeing my husband & kids on Engadget.
> frog iphone app
Mobile Visual Design / Interaction Design
I really, really want to tell you about this project that I worked on at frog -- it's supposed to come out in spring of 2012 and is going to be HUGE! However, even after it debuts a team of highly trained lawyers will come and forcibly take away my first-born child if I so much as mutter a peep about it. So just for the record, I have iPhone experience on a huge project for a extremely litigious corporate entity.
Dell / Bing Search Engine Icons
Icon Design
Dell partnered with Bing for a a special toolbar with easy access to support services like online help and chat forums. Because we wanted them to work well with the hyper-realistic 3D icons used in Stage (see next entry), I made these icons to look much more flat and symbolic. Of course, designers love the wet-floor look, and I couldn't stop myself from presenting flat icons in a more dimensional way, if only for my portfolio.
> Dell Stage Icons
Icon Design
I designed several icons used in the Dell Stage Suite, including program icons for Dell Support Center and SyncUp. The lighthouse was proposed for Dell Support Center when we had a better name for the program, but the legal team stepped in and squashed our dreams. So I created a much more utilitarian toolbox for DSC and tried to dream up another program that could use the original one.
> Embellish nails & Boutique
Web & Flash Design
Embellish wanted to give their website a facelift. The site already had good bones, but needed more images and texture to give the site a deeper richness. I also animated the logo and added a flash intro on the homepage, and you can see the final result here.
> Melridge
Web Design
For this contract job I was asked to design a website using soft colors and a lot of blending. The real estate company has a lot of plans for future projects, but not too many completed projects (or photos), so I picked out some modern architecture & landscaping photos to illustrate their focus.
> West Wing Signage
Television Visual Design
Hello, Martin Sheen! How gorgeous you look in front of something I designed. Back in 2000 I worked on The West Wing as the Art Department Coordinator and often created artwork for signs and props. Most of my designs got blocked by actors or were edited out. This scene about a NASA mission to Mars, however, earned Rob Lowe a Golden Globe nomination (and was shown during the awards ceremony). You're welcome, Rob!
